With rounded turquoise glazed body on short vertical foot, with tall slightly everted neck and straight handle with ball finial joining body and neck, the shoulder deeply moulded with a stylised kufic inscription against a ground of scrolling vine, two intertwined lines above, small areas of restoration

The inscription around this jug reads, dama laka al'-izz wa al-zafar ma tala'a [al-]sham[s wa al-qamar], 'May there be glory and triumph for you as long as [the sun and moon] rise'.
