OTTOMAN TURKEY, CIRCA 1620
Of baluster form on short foot rising to a flaring trumpet mouth and with simple loop handle, decorated in cobalt-blue, bole-red, green and black, the body with alternating swaying bands of blue stripes on white ground and white bulbs with red centres on green ground, with a band of blue leafy pattern around the neck, simple scroll design around the mouth, the collar with band of small black dots, the foot with stylised marble design, the handle with paired black splashes, repaired chips to rim, otherwise intact
