The single-edged tapering blade widening towards the point and with double fuller at spine, gold-inlaid decoration towards the hilt with a lattice formed around flowerheads and terminating in a cusped cartouche, the hardstone hilt with a gold inlaid lattice issuing curling palmettes, the spine of silver gilt, three pins with rosette terminals holding the hilt together, the quillons also of silver gilt with applied floral spray to each side, the mounts on the sheath decorated with stamped roundels with stylised flowerheads, an inscription towards the top reading, BLAND. St. James', tarnishing to silver mounts, crack to one side of hardstone hilt
