Arabic manuscript on paper, 118ff., each with 15ll. of elegant black naskh, catchwords, gilt and polychrome roundel verse markers, sura headings in gold bands with polychrome floral decoration on sides, set within gold ruled margins, with gilt and polychrome marginal palmettes, opening illuminated bifolium with gilt and polychrome floral decoration, margin of interlocking palmettes, text in white ground on punched gold ground surrounded by red frame with gilt scrolling vines, small cartouches with yellow and pink roses on green ground, colophon signed and dated in ovoid cartouche surrounded by gilt outlined floral vines, gilt and polychrome bands above and below, in contemporary gilt brown morocco binding, excellent condition
