A PAIR OF GOLD AND SILVER FILIGREE ANKLETS (KHULKHAL)
MOROCCO, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
Of typical circular form with silver flat band tapering from hinge to small waisted section before expanding into large circular lobed panels which narrow slightly at clasp, exterior with alternating silver and gold rectangular panels of floral filigree work on red and green background, interior with makers' stamp and engraved vertical lines, chain attaching pin to centre of lobed panel
