Banded overall in stained fruitwood and inlaid to all sides with leaves and flowers, the swivel-top further inlaid with trellis-filled reserves, the frieze centred by a gilt-metal espagnolette mask on each long side, the interior lined in green baize, the compartment below veneered in burr maple, the legs all with gilt-metal foliate mounts and sabots
