LATOUR AND PETRUS FROM THE 1970 VINTAGE
Lying in Weybridge, Surrey (EHD)
Château Latour--Vintage 1970
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
One slightly corroded capsule, otherwise excellent appearance. Levels: one base of neck, two top and one mid/low-shoulder
Tasting note: In 2003 though still fairly deep, mature; good nose; drinking well. Most recently: classic, old cedar bouquet; touch of sweetness, rich, full-bodied, harmonious, masked tannin, dry finish. Many more years in hand. Last tasted June 2007 ***** Now-2040 M.B.
