Lot Essay

For an iridescent-green ground vase of this form titled 'Arcadien' and painted by O. Zwierzina, see Sotheby's, New York, 27 April 2006, lot 20. Of the works extant for this artist, it is interesting to note that all appear to be executed on Berlin porcelain and most have iridescent grounds.
