The rectangular top with a brown-leather writing surface, the corners clasped with grotesque masks, above three frieze drawers flanked by bearded masks, the reverse with similarly-decorated false drawers, the sides centered with a mask within an ormolu frame, on female term-headed tapering legs with paw-cast sabots, the lockplates stamped DUVIVIER PARIS, the reverse of the mounts variously numbered
