The serpentine brèche Medicis marble top above a foliate-carved frieze and sides, on floral-carved cabriole legs joined by an 'X'-shaped stretcher centered with a festooned urn, the top of the carcass inscribed #88 and N. 1 in blue crayon, the reverse of the frieze applied with a metal plaquette engraved PROPERTY OF MAJOR E. BOWES.
