With the shaped marble and galleried top above a conforming case, the sliding top opening to a fitted frieze drawer with a later leather-lined writing slide and later silvered ink, sand and quill pots, above two further drawers, stamped MEWESEN and JME to left side of drawer, inlaid to reverse
