In the Sèvres style, each oviform vase flanked by bracket handles issuing laurel swags, finely painted in the manner of Greuze with a girl in a frilled cap holding either a ledger and basket or jug, within a chased gilt surround, the reverse with lush flower stems, on a beaded knop, laurel-molded socle and square base

In 1874 Mademoiselle Julia Granier de Mailhac (born in Coutances Manche) is recorded working in a Paris atelier on Rue Saint-Placide, 50. She is noted as a student of Mme. D. Cool and for painting portraiture on porcelain in the manner of Greuze and Bouguereau.
