The caption notes: 'Elliott Erwitt took this picture of his wife with their first child with a Leica. It was subsequently shown in the 'Family of Man' exhibition at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Erwitt must have been rather more excited than a photographer usually gets when he takes a picture, because he has forgotten what lens and exposure he used, or film, or developer, or printing paper.'
