With slender blued slightly swamped sighted barrel rifled with six grooves and decorated with engraved and gilt panels of scrollwork, engraved gilt lock with pierced and engraved gilt decoration to the blued fences covering the springs and wheel, gilt flash-shield, engraved pan-cover with pierced and gilt rosette-shaped release button, and pierced cock engraved with a monster, fruitwood full stock profusely inlaid with bone and white staghorn scrollwork and dots inhabited by numerous figures including hares, stags, hinds, foxes, and a goat, the cheek-piece with mother of pearl roundel, and butt-plate engraved with a seated figure of Justice and inscribed 'Justiccia', gilt trigger-guard and trigger, and later ramrod (some later embellishment and restoration throughout); together with a combined wheel-lock spanner, priming-flask and turnscrew, with faceted stem forming the priming-flask, partially turned and engraved octagonal cross-piece forming the key, and shaped turnscrew pierced with scrollwork
