The body carved with a frieze of exotic animals, including a monkey, peacock, bear and wild boar, the cover inset with a bird of prey and monkey roundel, surrounded by trailing fruit and flower heads with further roundels, the lion thumbpiece above imbricated scroll handle, on three pomegranate feet
