Woven with the inscription 'GEORGE OGILVY, 1783' and 'MARGRET ERSKINE, 1783' at the head and foot and in mirror image, with sprigged centre and leafy border, a ribbon tied floral bunch to the corners; together with a smaller tablecloth of the same design
The banqueting cloth 143 x 92 in. (363 x 234 cm.); the tablecloth 52 x 44 in. (132 x 110.5 cm.); the napkins 39 x 31 in. (98.5 x 80 cm.) (12)

This set of table linen was probably made to celebrate the marriage of George Ogilvy and Margret Erskine in 1783.
