hexagonal section, cast with figures and surmounted by a figure of Orpheus flanked by a lion and lamb, inscription "Such notes drew iron tears down Pluto's cheeks, and made Hell grant what love did seek, toil rather suffer and be free betwixt the green earth and the sea Alas unhappy Orpheus twice bereft". Enamelled mark to panel WMP (damage) 17¾in. (45.1cm.) high
