The rectangular cavetto cornice above a pair of feather-banded doors enclosing a fitted interior with adjustable shelves, eight drawers and pigeon-holes, and with candle slides, the hinged front enclosing nine further drawers, pigeon-holes and a green baize-lined writing surface, above two short and three graduated long drawers, on turned feet, the feet replaced, the handles later, the cabinet interior probably added as an adaptation at the time of construction, labelled 'RESTORED BY CLIVE BEARDALL ANTIQUES MALDON, ESSEX'
