Woven in wools and silks, depicting the story of 'Cephalus and Procris' from the series entitled Mythologies or Ovid's Metamorphoses, with Cephalus kneeling before the body of Procris laying amidst foliage against a tree, within a bead-and-reel surround and a foliate border, possibly reduced in size and with subsequent cuts to the borders, some losses to wool and with minor areas of restoration and reweaving
