Carved and pierced around the exterior with a continuous scene in high relief depicting a craggy mountain landscape, one side detailed with a pair of deer by a gnarled pine tree, one standing and the other recumbent, the reverse with a partially-hidden pavilion, below a crane in flight and another standing beside a further pine tree, the mouth and foot rims encircled with a key-fret band, the base carved with an aperture and the cover with a double-vajra with leafy scrolls, the transluscent stone of an even white tone
