JIAQING SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)
Delicately enamelled and gilded around the globular body with the Eight Buddhist Emblems, bajixiang, interspersed by stylised lotus blooms borne on leafy scrolls, the pierced upright handles similarly decorated with lotus scrolls and bats, the three cabriole legs and the recessed neck painted with further lotus scrolls, the sides of the handles, mouth rim and feet decorated with classic S-scrolls, all reserved against a lime-green ground, the interior enamelled turquoise
