AN IRON-RED GILT-DECORATED TURQUOISE ENAMELLED BOWL
DAOGUANG PERIOD (1821-1850), SHENDETANG IRON-RED HALLMARK
Finely enamelled on the rounded sides with four shou character roundels, each surrounded by five iron-red bats and reserved on a wide band of archaistic key-fret scrolls in gilt and pale turquoise, between narrow bands to the mouth and footrims comprising of further smaller iron-red bats interspersed with swastikas, all carefully detailed and outlined in gilt
5¾ in. (14.6 cm.) diam.
