A FINELY CARVED WHITE JADE RECUMBENT QILIN
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
Carved in the round, the recumbent animal with its four legs folded under its belly, finely modelled with a pair of horns, its head forward-looking grasping a pair of ruyi in its mouth,
the mane and tail carved with archaistic designs, the stone of milky-white tone with small areas of opaque mottling
4 1/4 in. (10.5 cm.) long
