拍品專文

No other vase of this rare form and decoration appears to be published. This vase was most certainly part of an altar garniture and can be most closely compared to another pair of famille rose yellow-ground vases of this very rare form bearing Yongzheng marks from the collection of Colonel H.S. Stern, sold at Christie's London, 7 April 1982, lot 62, together with the censer. A single vase from this set is illustrated by Anthony du Boulay, Christie's Pictorial History of Chinese Ceramics, Phaidon-Christie's, Oxford, 1984, p. 248, fig. 2; and illustrated again in Sotheby's Hong Kong, Twenty Years, 1993, pl. 296. Another such vase in the Shanghai Museum is illustrated in Chugoku Toji Zenshu, vol. 21, 1981, pl. 99.
