A FINE AND VERY RARE WHITE JADE DOUBLE-GOURD EWER AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
Well hollowed and of slightly flattened double-gourd shape, with a C-scroll handle to one side opposite the curved, upright spout joined to the upper body by a 'bead', the domed cover with loop finial, all supported on a waisted oval-shaped ring foot with a square rim, the semi-translucent stone of an even greenish white tone with areas of russet
7 1/4 in. (18.3 cm.) high
