A LARGE JADEITE CENSER AND COVER
QING DYNASTY, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The thinly carved globular body supported on three lion-mask feet, carved around the sides with confronted kui dragons flanked on either side by elaborate mythical beast and acanthus leaf loose ring handles, the domed cover surmounted by a dragon roundel and with further registers of floral scroll, dragons and semi-circular bi motifs below a large openwork finial suspending four further small loose rings, the stone of a highly polished translucent greenish white colour
