Lot Essay

A larger Qianlong-marked Ru-type jar of this formerly in the T.Y. Chao Collection was included in the Exhibition of Ch'ing Porcelain from the Wah Kwong Collection, Chinese University of Hong Kong, 1973, Catalogue no. 16 and sold at Sotheby's Hong Kong, 19 May 1987, lot 287. Another example was sold at Christie's Hong Kong, 1 May 1994, lot 726.
