of compressed inverted pear shape, on a rising circular foot and with a panelled rising curved spout with grotesque beast terminal, wood scroll handle and domed hinged cover with artichoke finial, the body, spout and cover chased with rococo flowers, foliage and C-scrolls, the body also engraved with a monogram within a circular cartouche surrounded by rococo foliage, William Cripps, London 1749 - 5in. (12.75cm.), 16oz. gross.
