With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the watch with enamel dial, Breguet hour markers and small second hand in 1902 and its subsequent sale on 17 November 1902. The extract further states that the movement was sold without a case.

Fresh to the market, the present watch is a rare example of a five minute repeating watch made by Patek Philippe for Tiffany & Co. in New York.
