Les plaques ici présentes sont exécutées dans le style de Jacques Laudin (1627-1695), qui avec son fils, réalisa plusieurs séries de médaillons représentant les profils des douze Césars, d'après les gravures de Marcantonio Raimondi. Quelques-uns de ses émaux sont conservés au Louvre ainsi que dans l'ancienne collection Reculis. Le fils de Laudin, aussi prénommé Jacques, a succédé au travail de son père jusqu'au début du 18e siècle.
These plaques are executed in the style of Jacques Laudin (1627-1695), who along with his son, executed several series of portrait medallions of the Twelve Caesars, after engravings by Marcantonio Raimondi. Examples of these enamels can be found in the Louvre and also in the former Reculis collection. Laudin's son, also named Jacques carried on his fathers work into the begining of the 18th century.
