Decorated in gold, silver and red hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, nashiji and inlaid in mother-of-pearl and pewter on a black ground with a bold design of paulownia branches under a large moon, the interior with a bird on a plum branch, fitted inner tray with plum blossom, copper gilt waterdropper engraved with chrysanthemum, slate inkstone
