Signed in incised characters inside the top case Hokkyo Korin, Edo Period (late 17th-early 18th century)
Decorated in gold and red hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and nashiji and inlaid in mother-of-pearl and pewter on a black ground with hares amongst hills, black lacquer interiors, fundame rims
