With signature Sukekane, Nanbokucho-Muromachi period (14th-15th century)
The blade of long gentle curve with the low sakizori curve characteristic of Kamakura and Nanbokucho period work, the hamon of midareba is but imperfectly visible due to the blade condition, the haft of the koshirae is ribbed with textile binding, lacquered red, the koshirae of Momoyama period, the saya of robust form with cylindrical reinforcing section at the lower part, black lacquer over a lower layer of red, and with gold lacquer inside the mouth, length 71.6cm.
