Naturalistically modelled as a large lotus leaf, pod and bud, all borne on a gilt-bronze tied stems issuing from the underside, the leaf coloured in turquoise and emerald green enamels with simulated veins, the bud in light pink and white enamels, the cover with articulated pods, in turquoise enamels with white matel cover, impressed marks to the rim of the cover
