Château La Mission-Haut-Brion--Vintage 1993
Pessac (Graves), cru classé
Tasting note: Another superb wine in an off year, the 1993 La Mission shows a deep plum/ruby color and a sweet nose of black fruits intermixed with charcoal and mineral. The wine is medium-bodied, with ripe tannin and elegant, concentrated richness that persists on the palate. This wine is coming into full maturity and should last for at least 10-12 years. This is undoubtedly the sleeper of the vintage. Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book, 4th Edition # B5 (Jan 2003)
