Château Haut-Brion--Vintage 1988
Pessac (Graves), 1er cru classé

Both winter and spin were very humid while the summer was dry but not very hot. A little rainfall in September. The ripening of the grapes was good and the skins were thick and rich. The wines produced are powerfull with a beautiful structure.

Tasting note:
Opaque; a relatively low-keyed (hot pebbles' yet floral, citrus-like nose. A silky, tannic texture and mocha-like flavour. Very positive character, but teeth-gripping tannin and acidity. Las tasted APril 2007 **(**). MB
