probably Staffordshire, with loop handle, the redware body covered in a red/brown glaze, the short neck inscriped in cream slip BREAK:ME:NOT:I PRAY:IN/YOVER:HAST:TO:YOV:I GIVE:NO/DISTAST... above a stamped pattern of criss-crosses forming stylised flowerheads and scrolls, the lower section with an indistinct verse -- 10in.
