A Bristol Delft Named and Dated Posset Pot, Dated 1743
of typical globular form with tall slightly everted neck, side strap handles, centering the spout, painted in blue on pale blue ground, the neck with acanthus, the body with long-tailed birds perched in trailing flowering branches issuing from rockwork, inscribed along the rear shoulder 'ELIZABETH TAYLOR' above the date 1743 (cover lacking, restored)
