A Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. pottery umbrella stand
of hexagonal section, with as flared rim and pierced japonaiserie base, each side painted with birds among branches, butterflies among grasses and sprays of flowers within yellow panels on a turquoise ground, the neck and base moulded with scrolls, printed mark for Cauldon Place Art Studio -- 27½in. (70cm.) high, late 19th century (restored and replacement bolt to base)
