A Sèvres part dessert-service
gilt to the centre with a boss radiating six points devided by scrolling foliage, the wells gilt with a square geometric pattern, the borders printed and painted with boars, deer, hares and hounds among scrolling foliage reserved with Louis Philippe monograms below crowns and panels of devices en grisaille on iron-red grounds within square and oval panels, comprising: two soup bowls, one with gilt-metal mounts to the rims on three leaf-moulded scroll feet suspending swags of fruiting vines, the other mounts similar with swags of leaves and flowers, on shaped bases (one with star-crack, some minor damage and discolouration to mounts); a soup bowl (extensively restored); four comports (one extensively damaged); and seventeen plates (four chipped, three extensively damaged, some other minor areas of wear), printed and incised marks, circa 1840
