Kändler, the old man slumped on the back of a donkey, naked but for a yellow robe, supported by a youth clad in a blue drape, a maiden lying besode them feeding the donkey a bunch of grapes, a putto pulling the donkey's tail, on a rocky base moulded with scrolls, painted in colours and gilt, blue crossed swords mark -- 8 1/8in. (20.7cm.) high, late 19th century
