Lot Essay

The inscription on the reverse translates as 'Gideon Selecting his Forces against the Midian, Book of Judges, 5', a slight error in that the story of how Gideon chose his troops by the manner in which they drank from a stream is recounted in chapter 6 of the Book of Judges.
