The following three carpets, woven by the Beni Ouarain, a confederation of seventeen Berber tribes living in the Middle Atlas Mountains of Morocco, are distinctive for their archaic-looking black lines on white ground. Beni Ouarain carpets are prized by collectors and decorators for their mesmerizing geometric designs.
