"This painting was painted after a journey to Florida. Hot beaches, and clear water, with an elegant egret strolling along the waterfront. Actually I observed this bird from the other side, lying submersed in the warm waves it did not recognize me as a danger, so it passed really close. This painting is a personal memory of that journey."
