AN EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN CORE-FORMED GLASS OINOCHOE
CIRCA LATE 6TH-5TH CENTURY B.C.
Opaque white in color, the ovoid body with rounded shoulders, a cylindrical neck, a trefoil mouth, and a flaring foot, with an aubergine marvered thread wound spirally on the body, tooled into a zigzag pattern in the middle of the body, additional spiral trailing around the neck, and on the rim, with a single arching handle
4 5/8 in. (11.7 cm.) high
