LATE 16TH CENTURY, PROBABLY FLEMISH OR ENGLISH
With one-piece skull rising to a roped comb and fitted with a conical plume-holder to the rear, visor with lifting-peg, prow-shaped upper bevor pierced with circular breaths on the right side, lower bevor shaped to the chin and with later hook and visor-support, associated gorget of two plates front and rear, the lower plates with recessed border and turned roped edge, and later leather chin-strap and blackened finish throughout (some restoration throughout)
