Allegrini Amarone
Amarone is a rich, complex wine from northeastern Italy composed of a local grape blend (Covina, Rondinella and Molinara) that has been air-dried to concentrate the fruit prior to making the wine, which is the great classic of Verona, perhaps enjoyed by Romeo and Juliet before their fateful assignation. The Allegrini family has been making wine since the 16th Century, and is today considered among the very best producers of this type of wine.
