Eric Rohman (1891-1949) studied at the Valand Painting School and began designing film posters in 1916, opening his own studio in 1920. Rohman pioneered the development of a distinctive style in poster design in Sweden during the first half of the twentieth century, using a combination of simple graphics and bold colours.
