Nickel-finished lever movement, 17 jewels, silvered matte dial, baton numerals, calibrated 1/5th seconds ring with Arabic fifth divisions, blue outer calibrated tachometer scale and inner red calibrated telemeter scale, two subsidiary dials for 30 minute register and constant seconds, tonneau-shaped water-resistant-type case, raised bezel, screw down crown, screw back, stainless steel Rolex Oyster link bracelet, case, dial and movement signed

Lot Essay

Rolex produced the reference 4500 for one year during the 1940s in a very limited number. Examples were made in stainless steel, gold and stainless steel and gold models. The present watch is unusual with the colored dial.
