A GENTLEMAN'S SILK TAILCOAT
IRISH, CIRCA 1795
woven in mushroom and taupe with serpentine stripes and a vine and leaf edge, double breasted, with five pairs of flat buttons to the front, wide revere collar, the tail pockets trimmed with two buttons, the cuffs with three smaller ones; together with a French gentleman's outfit comprising white linen shirt, monogrammed TH14, a white cotton self-striped, double breasted waistcoat and a pair of nankeen breeches of fawn cotton, tying at the knee with ribbons (4)
